Who’s using our boats?

Our Alloy Cats and Kingfisher workboats are spread far and wide both in New Zealand and overseas. In the last few years we have built more workboats than recreational in the larger sizes.

AJ Charters on Lake Taupo

For AJ Charters we built a 38″ two level catamaran, ‘DAYDREAM’, to explore the trout fishing capital of the world on the southern end of Lake Taupo, New Zealand. The vessel is fully equipped and meets all safety standards, and can cater for up to 22 people.

Raglan Boat Charters

Twin hull pontoon style catamaran“Wahinemoe” – Maori for Sleeping Lady – is a newly crafted 14 x 4.8m twin hull, pontoon style catamaran designed with both luxury accommodation and sunset harbour cruises in mind. Karapiro Cruiser, Lake Karapiro

The Karapiro Cruiser is a 50ft pontoon boat, custom built in 2005 and designed for lake and river cruising. The interior is very spacious with quality furnishings, lined with beautiful rich Jarrah timber and has luxuriously upholstered seating. It has a great functional bar and kitchenette. The top deck is a prefect vantage point for relaxing and enjoying the cruising experience.

Southern Hydrographic Surveys

For Southern Hydrographic we built a purpose built, dedicated survey vessel “ELAINE”. Designed for both multibeam and singlebeam operations, the vessel incorporates a unique moonpool arrangement for the deployment and recovery of sensitive transducer arrays, enabling rapid transit to and from survey areas.

Alfreds Fishing Charters, Samoa

The latest Kingfisher model, length overall: 8 meters, beam: 2.6 meters, power source: 225 horsepower, HONDA 4 stroke outboard. The boat is well set up for day charters and carries modern electronics (Raymarine) and excellent gear. Trolling reels are all Shimano Tiagra’s (80’s & 50’s) and an array of light gear for bottom fishing (includes Penn’s, Fin Nor, etc.).
