It is very warped and transitions from very fine forward to flat sections aft. It is a very efficient shape that has some extra lift generated by the aft sections, much more than a ‘normal’ displacement cat. This first craft was fitted with diesel inboards of 170hp. Top speed is in the mid twenties. Other motive power options would include outboards or stern drives. The lower deck accommodation has two aft cabins with a large single berth and twin forward cabins with either a double berth in each or two singles. On the main deck there is a cockpit head, galley, settee with dining table and a centre line helm station. It is planned to launch this powercat sea trialing early next year.
